Butler Mobility Products Announces Recent Recertification of its Inclined Platform Lift Power Unit
Lewisberry, PA (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- In March of this year Butler Mobility Products received certification approval for their Inclined Platform Lift power unit from Met Laboratories, Inc. The power unit is now certified to ASME A 17.5 / CSA B44.1-11 meeting approved standards for Elevator and Escalator Electrical Equipment.
Butler has added a heavy duty 120 volt power cord and an axle shield to the unit for improved safety.
The power unit was tested using a standard set of Butler IPL rails and folding front load platform. The entire unit underwent rigorous testing, cycling for 3 hours of continuous operation under a 750 LB load at a 25% duty cycle.
We chose MET Laboratories to do our testing because of their national recognition.
In 1989, MET became the first Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) in the United States for testing and certifying products to UL safety standards.
In 1992, MET changed its focus exclusively to testing and certification of electrical products - whether in the laboratory or at customer locations. Consequently, the name changed to the present MET Laboratories. Later that year, the MET test report became accepted in 30 countries through the IECEE Certified Body (CB) Scheme.
MET Laboratories' accreditations and recognitions are some of the most difficult to obtain in the world:
• Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) - OSHA
• Standards Council of Canada (SCC)
• National Certification Body (NCB) - IECEE
• American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) accredited
Butler is proud to have partnered with MET Laboratories to bring our customers a dependable, high quality product that they can install with confidence.
