C4L official Technology Partner for BFX festival
(PRWEB UK) 19 September 2014 -- Most blockbusters including the recent Oscar-winning Gravity and Inception feature BU graduates in the credits, a healthy track record for our local town to be proud of. BFX festival, returning for its second year gives students the unique opportunity to showcase their hard work to a number of media houses opening the doors to employment.
C4L are delivering WiFi for the duration of the festival to provide the students with optimum environments to stream their work. C4L already provide high speed internet connectivity both fixed and wireless directly into the hosting BIC venue from County Gates House where they connect them to a multi-homed internet service. In the seven week period leading up to the event, teams of students have built their own short features which will compete at a prestigious awards ceremony. C4L worked with BU to trial cloud based render farms during this project, opening up exciting projects to come.
During the festival there are opportunities to view an exhibition direct from the vaults of Walt Disney Animation Studios and some incredible speakers from some of the world’s most highly respected digital production studios including Animal Logic, DreamWorks and FrameStore, some of whom already utilise C4L’s IT infrastructure to power their talents.
