C.E. Electronics Announces Name Change for Acoustics Division
Bryan, Ohio (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- C.E. Electronics, Inc. has announced a name change for its acoustics division from C.E Acoustics to C.E. Electronics—Acoustics Group. The name change comes just weeks after the company launched its CQuiet™ Rope Noise Boot Kit, part of a five-point noise control system designed to shut down airborne machine room sounds migrating through the elevator “open window” rope holes.
C.E. Electronics’ acoustics division has grown quickly over the past 12 months, and the name change is expected to help with brand recognition in the market. C.E. Electronics-Acoustics Group finds solutions for airborne noise, a primary cause of annoyance, distraction and sleeplessness in hotels, condominiums, office buildings and other commercial spaces.
Sounds originating from traction and hydraulic drive systems, motors, brakes, starter contacts, pumps, valves, fluid movement and other mechanical functions elemental to elevator systems are siphoned into the elevator hoist way, allowing for noise migration to continue into the occupied areas of a building. The results are overall noise levels that affect peoples’ ability to concentrate and relax within their environment. Left unchecked, elevator noise can impact employee productivity and drive away business.
In the hospitality industry, noise that disturbs hotel guests can affect the business’s bottom line in a number of ways: sleep-deprived guests leave and never return, they leave negative feedback on consumer review sites, and they warn friends and family to stay away.
C.E. Electronics—Acoustics Group, a leader in producing innovative solutions that can be adapted by engineers, architects and builders to improve sound quality in buildings that rely on vertical transport, identify the highly absorptive, non-corrosive and pliable CQuiet Noise Liner material as the component that provides effective noise control in its Elevator Rope Noise Boot Application Kit. Galvanized metal boot shells complete the kit, providing for secure fastening and material support.
The CQuiet Noise Liner allows the ropes to create their own channel within the material, which in turn conforms tightly around each rope. The material also conforms to varying deflection angles and rope splay up to 4 inches. Close wall and narrow deflection beam spaces are no problem with the CQuiet Elevator Rope Noise Boot Application Kit.
The CQuiet™ Noise Control Products are developed to address common elevator noise problems after experts troubleshoot and identify their sources. C.E. Electronics— Acoustics Group engineers produce cost-effective solutions to resolve virtually every noise reduction challenge that surfaces.
“The name change has been under consideration for a few months, and we seem to have proven to the parent company that it was time for C.E. Acoustics to become C.E. Electronics—Acoustics Group,” says Mark Nothstine, Noise Application Sales Engineer for C.E. Electronics—Acoustics Group.
C.E. Electronics’ acoustics division has partnered with clients and industry professionals to collectively identify a wide range of noise challenges in order to provide solutions for each one.
