Cable Modification for Electronic Patient Devices Invented by InventHelp Client (IPL-115)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) January 14, 2015 -- The overabundance of electric cables from patient monitoring devices cluttering up patient care facilities can be a major concern. Patient care workers will be relieved to learn that an inventor from Indianapolis, Ind., has found a way to correct that situation.
She developed the patent-pending DINA SAFE to reduce the clutter associated with exposed electric cords. It is convenient, durable and easy to use. What's more, it protects machine cables against damage resulting from tangles and exposure to traffic or spills. At the same time, it prevents accidents resulting from people tripping and falling over the cables lying on the floor.
What's more, it is suitable for use on a variety of patient treatment and monitoring devices like IV poles, feeding pumps, vital sign monitors, wound VACs and EKG machines. It also promotes efficiency in the workplace, saving time and effort otherwise wasted winding and unwinding electrical cords. In addition, it effects a safer environment for patients and staff resulting in improved patient care.
The inventor's work experience inspired the idea. "I thought of this while working as a certified nursing assistant," she said. "I wanted to find a way to avoid the disorganized appearance as well as the danger of having so many electric cables lying or hanging in patient care areas."
The original design was submitted to the Indianapolis office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
