California Dental Group Recognizes Men’s Health Month with No-cost Oral Cancer Screenings in Whittier, CA
Whittier, CA (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- In recognition of the fact that oral cancer poses a significant risk to men’s health, especially as men age, this year California Dental Group is celebrating Men’s Health Month with free oral cancer screenings. The screenings are open to all adults and will be available by appointment at the Whittier, CA office on Tuesday, June 9 from 10 am to 12 pm.
Men over the age of 45, along with elderly patients, have the highest risk of developing oral cancer. In fact, 90 percent of oral cancer occurs in patients over 45. This year alone, over 8,650 people will lose their lives due to oral cancer.
The good news is that oral cancer is highly curable in its early stages. In fact, early detection provides patients with an 80 to 90 percent survival rate.
