California Districts Select IO Education to Track and Report LCAP Progress
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 04, 2016 -- California administrators continue to implement their Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) as required by the California Department of Education. As part of the effort to meet the state’s new accountability requirements, six California school districts representing 116,000 students, have selected IO Insights from IO Education to better gauge, track and report on LCAP progress.
Covina-Valley, Pomona, Apple Valley, Orange, Azusa and Pasadena Unified School Districts have chosen IO Education as the accountability platform to set goals, define measures, monitor progress and report on student achievement to improve educational outcomes.

With a hands-on implementation process, district accountability teams – supported by IO Education – will define and implement the data collection and reporting needed to gauge student achievement and track outcomes along multiple measures, including test scores, English proficiency and college and career preparedness. With reporting specifically designed for teachers, school leadership and district leadership, each educator will be involved in meeting the LCAP requirements.

The California Department of Education requires each school district to collaborate with parents, educators, employees and the community to create a plan addressing eight key educational areas: student achievement, student engagement, other student outcomes, parental involvement, school climate, course access, implementation of common-core state standards, and basic services. Districts will choose their goals and how they will measure growth for each of these areas. IO Education will also support all accountability and reporting requirements as LCAP is reconciled with the final Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) regulations.
