Calimesa Fit Body Boot Camp Announces Its Release of a New Video about the Fitness Boot Camp Experience
Calimesa, CA (PRWEB) August 21, 2014 -- Rebecca Tabbert, owner of Calimesa Fit Body Boot Camp, located at 544 Myrtlewood Drive, has enjoyed watching as more people turn away from the big box gyms and instead choose the fitness boot camp environment. It’s not only good for her business; it’s also good for her clients.
“The old ‘treadmill-dumbbells-elliptical’ routine just doesn’t work,” she says. “Numerous research studies have shown that spending hours on cardio machines and lifting those cute little dumbbells does very little to help people burn fat and our current rates of obesity and Type 2 diabetes back that up.”
Some of the studies Tabbert mentions include recent journal articles in the International Sports Nutrition Journal and McTiernan Obesity Journal, both of which report that even 12 months of doing one hour of cardio five times per week resulted in very little fat loss for test subjects.
“Cardio machines like the treadmill and elliptical burn some calories while you’re doing them, but they’re mostly from the carbs you’ve eaten recently, not from stored fat,” explains Tabbert. “They also do nothing to boost your metabolism.”
On the other hand, says Tabbert, workout sessions at Calimesa Fit Body Boot Camp combine high-intensity interval training with functional resistance training and do so in very intense, thirty-minute sessions.
“The reason that Fit Body Boot Camps are so famous for their results is that our workouts actually boost the metabolism, rather than just burning calories,” she adds. “They also build muscle at the same time, which not only reshapes your body but helps to speed your metabolism even more. Most of our members lose anywhere from six to fifteen pounds of fat tissue in their first month.”
Tabbert adds that one of the things that makes the fitness boot camp so popular is that those fat loss results happen even though members typically spend far less time working out. “You don’t have to work out for an hour to lose fat. In fact, it’s usually counterproductive,” she says. “Steady state cardio just isn’t challenging enough to truly help you burn stored fat and all people can do is work out longer and longer to try to lose it. But who has ten hours a week to spend at the gym?”
In the new fitness boot camp video just released, it’s clear that although members are working out at a very high intensity, they’re also having fun.
“You’re not going to stick to a workout program if you hate it,” explains Tabbert. “We make sure our clients feel great working out and even better when they leave!”
