Callens Insurance Group Joins Local Non-Profit Therapet in Charity Drive to Provide Animal Assisted Therapy to Those in Need
Tyler, TX (PRWEB) April 13, 2016 -- Callens Insurance Group, a locally owned insurance firm that provides coverage to businesses and families throughout eastern Texas, is teaming up with Tyler-based non-profit Therapet in a charity effort aimed at supporting animal assisted therapy programs in Smith County.
For more than 20 years, Therapet has worked to promote and provide health, hope, and healing to patients in Smith County utilizing therapy programs that involve specially trained and certified animals. Therapet has also worked to educate both medical professionals and the general public on the importance and effectiveness of animal assisted therapy for a wide range of patients.
“Therapet animal assisted therapy programs represent a great step forward in the treatment of many kinds of psychological and medical injuries, and we’re excited to work with them during this charity event,” says Jeff Callens, founder and director of Callens Insurance Group.
