Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 02, 2013 -- Global architecture and design firm Callison announced the promotion of 11 individuals to principal at the company’s annual State of the Firm event. In the company’s Seattle office, promoted to principal were: Lloyd Baker, Todd Enoki, Esmeraldo (Raldi) Formantes, Cindi Kato, Jae Kim, Karen Oshiro, Diljit Sethi and Bret Wiggins. Brian Adams in the Dallas office, Doug Shaw in the Beijing office and Gerald Allbury in the London office were also promoted to principal. Cumulatively the 11 principals have over 225 years of industry experience.

Brian Adams, ASLA, has been a member of the global commercial practice in Callison’s Dallas office for five years. He has participated in local and international markets including China, India, the Caribbean and the Middle East for more than 23 years. Mr. Adams’ recent projects include Marsa Zayed, a master planned resort in Aqaba, Jordan, and Liaobin Master Plan, a luxury resort island overlooking the Liadong Bay in China. He holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Texas A&M University and is a member of TAMU’s Professional Advisory Board for the Department of Landscape and Planning.
Gerald Allbury has been a member of the global retail practice in Callison’s London office for four years and has been involved in project management and design delivery for more than 17. He has led projects for a wide range of clients within the U.K. and Europe including name brand retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Harrods and Mappin & Webb. Mr. Allbury holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Interior Design from Kingston University in London.
Lloyd Baker has been a member of Callison’s global commercial practice in Seattle for 15 years and has led projects in China, Korea, and the Middle East for more than 25 years. Mr. Baker is currently leading the design efforts for a retail/mixed-use project in Mexico City and a retail/entertainment center planned for Riyadh. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Hawaii and a Master of Business Administration degree from Chaminade University in Honolulu.
Todd Enoki, LEED AP, NCARB, has been with the global commercial practice in Callison’s Seattle office for 13 years. He has participated in international markets, including China, India and the Middle East for more than 20 years. Mr. Enoki’s recent projects include the Mission Hills Haikou project, a five-star resort on Hainan Island, China, and Omkar Alta Monte, luxury residences overlooking the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in India. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Washington State University and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
Raldi Formantes has been a member of Callison’s global commercial practice in Seattle for 15 years. He has 25 years of professional experience in the field of architecture, planning and design in China, India, the Middle East and South America. Notable projects include the recently opened lifestyle center for Greenland in Xuhui, Shanghai and the mixed-use destination for the Yurun Group in Huaian, China, which includes a super tall high-rise tower structure as well as retail shopping, dining, entertainments and conferencing venues. Mr. Formantes holds Master degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Cindi Kato has been with the global retail practice in Callison’s Seattle office for 25 years. She has 31 years in retail, hospitality, restaurant, healthcare and banking experience across the U.S. Ms. Kato’s recent projects include Cole Haan, Dockers, Ross and Sterling Bank. She holds both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Washington and sits on the Washington State University Advisory Board for Interior Design.
Jae Kim has been with Callison’s global commercial practice in Seattle for eight years. He has participated in the U.S., Middle East and China markets as well as the India market where he has focused on architectural issues of urban density and the important role of high-rise structures in residential development. He has worked with India’s top developers including as L&T Crescent Bay, Omkar Alta Monte, Richa Tower and HBS Marine Heights. Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Rhode Island School of Design as well as a Master of Architecture from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Karen Oshiro, AIA, LEED AP, has been a member of the global retail practice in Callison’s Seattle office for 20 years. Her recent projects include both Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores in multiple locations throughout the U.S. as well as Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in both the U.S. and Canada. Ms. Oshiro holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Washington State University and is both a member of the American Institute of Architects and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Diljit S. Sethi has been a member of Callison’s global commercial practice in Seattle for eight years. He has honed his technical skills on projects in India, Southeast Asia and the U.S. for the last 25 years. Mr. Sethi’s recent projects include numerous high-rise residential/office towers as well as large residential, commercial, mixed-use and hospitality projects all over India. Mr. Sethi received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Bombay and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Doug Shaw has been with both the global retail and commercial practices in Callison’s Seattle, Dubai and Beijing offices for more than 23 years. He has led specialty retail, department store and commercial interiors projects with top retail brands and developers in the U.S., Southeast Asia, the Middle East and China. Mr. Shaw’s recent projects include Chongqing Rongheng, a luxury retail and entertainment destination, and the Vivo Smartphone flagship store, both in China. He holds a Bachelor of Interior Design degree from University of Cincinnati DAAP and a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Bret Wiggins, AIA, has been with the global commercial practice in Callison’s Seattle office for 19 years. He has been involved in the design and planning of large shopping centers, as well as retail and mixed-use projects in Mexico, Japan, China, Egypt, U.A.E., Canada and United States. Mr. Wiggins’ recent work includes new retail, medical, office, and parking garage expansion to University Village and the Westlake Center Mall expansion, both in Seattle and the new retail expansion to Plaza Fiesta San Augustin in Monterrey, Mexico. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Washington State University and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
