CalSTRS Opens Member Service Center in Riverside’s Citrus Tower
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PRWEB) July 24, 2015 -- The California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) today announced the opening of its fifth full-service member center in Riverside’s Citrus Tower. Other service centers are located in Santa Clara, Glendale, Irvine and at the CalSTRS headquarters in West Sacramento.
Riverside Member Service Center Services at the center include:
• Benefits planning sessions by appointment.
• Financial and retirement workshops designed to meet members’ needs at different career stages.
• Increased CalSTRS benefits specialist availability.
• Receive and review all CalSTRS forms.
• General walk-in assistance.
• CalSTRS publications and forms.
The Riverside Member Service Center is located at 3390 University Avenue, Suite 250 Riverside, CA 92501 and open year-round, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. To make an appointment call 800-228-5453.
“This fifth member service center aligns business and technology changes to further improve member services. Our Riverside center also maintains the same environmental standards and energy efficiency guidelines which reflect both the values of California’s public educators and CalSTRS’ commitment to sustainability,” said Teachers’ Retirement Board Chair Harry Keiley, a high school teacher from Santa Monica. “We anticipate the center will earn the Gold level certification for LEED Interior Design and Construction.”
“The results of CalSTRS annual member survey indicate that members want locations and hours convenient to them. They want more services and training to help them achieve a secure retirement. Opening a member center in Riverside, where a high concentration of our members live and work, fulfills member needs and CalSTRS mission and vision,” said Chief Operating Officer Cassandra Lichnock.
The California State Teachers’ Retirement System, with a portfolio valued at $191.4 billion as of June 30, 2015, is the largest educator-only pension fund in the world. CalSTRS administers a hybrid retirement system, consisting of traditional defined benefit, cash balance and voluntary defined contribution plans. CalSTRS also provides disability and survivor benefits.
