Calvert Foundation Appoints Derek Strocher Chief Financial Officer
Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Calvert Foundation announced today that it has hired Derek Strocher as its Chief Financial Officer, following a rigorous selection process. He will report to Calvert Foundation’s President and CEO Jennifer Pryce.
Strocher’s deep experience in corporate finance and deal structuring will support Calvert Foundation’s strategy of raising impact capital from individual and institutional investors, and expanding relationships with best-in-class lending partners that can deploy capital at scale in their target markets.

He will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for Calvert Foundation, including the supervision of the company’s finance and accounting and compliance functions, in conjunction with the Board of Directors and the Finance, Audit, Executive, and Investment Committees of the Board. Strocher will also oversee IT infrastructure and business systems functions company-wide.
Strocher’s previous experience includes leading innovative finance for the World Bank, managing the Corporate Finance Initiatives team at the Royal Bank of Scotland, and creating and managing a full capability treasury department at Brake Brothers Limited. He holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, and is a licensed accountant.
