Cambridge House of Swansea Affordable Assisted Living to Host Holiday Extravaganza and Shopping Expo
Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- Cambridge House of Swansea, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will host its Third Annual Holiday Extravaganza and Shopping Expo from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 23.
The community, which is located at 3900 Sullivan Dr. in Swansea, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
Several crafters and vendors will sell items at the event, including Pampered Chef, Orgami Owl, Thirty-One, Avon, Scentsy and Mary Kay.
The Cambridge House Activities Department will set up a table selling homemade holiday items. Proceeds from the community’s craft table will benefit resident activities.
“We invite you to take a look around our amazing community and get some early holiday shopping done during our Holiday Extravaganza and Shopping Expo,” said Director of Sales Jan Brenner.

Cambridge House of Swansea is one of three Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities in the St. Louis Metro East area. The other Cambridge House communities are located in Maryville and O’Fallon, Illinois.

Residents live in private apartments that they furnish and decorate to their tastes. Each of the one-bedroom and two-bedroom floor plans feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in activities and special programs,” says Bohannon-Smith.
The Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities are certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and managed by BMA Management, of Bradley, Illinois. BMA Management is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
