Camp Bow Wow Offers National Program for Dog Bite Prevention
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) January 14, 2014 -- Camp Bow Wow - Dallas High Five is participating in a new Dog Bite Prevention Program initiated by the Camp Bow Wow national pet care franchise. The program will help to educate children and their families about ways to prevent dog bites.
The program offers a fun and informative way to teach children how to interact with a dog. Camp Bow Wow - Dallas High Five will visit venues throughout the local community to conduct a reading of “Scout Says, ‘Dogs Get Nervous, Too.’” The book is written from a dog’s perspective and helps youngsters understand not only what can make a dog nervous or fearful, which can cause them to bite, but how to interact with dogs in a way that's fun and safe for all.
Guests will receive a copy of the book, as well as a magnetic photo frame and a bookmark. There is no cost to attend the program, which is aimed for children ages 3-12.
The Dog Bite Prevention Program is part of Camp Bow Wow - Dallas High Five’s continuing community outreach and education. Readings will be offered at elementary schools in North Dallas and Richardson, and other dog-friendly locations around Dallas.
