Can Multiple Coincidences in Your Life be Proof of Reincarnation?
North Bend, WA (PRWEB) August 26, 2014 -- Dutch artist Peter Teekamp, who has enjoyed hiding faces in his art for decades, simply felt it was his ‘trained eye’ that helped him find the hidden faces in the works of Paul Gauguin in the mid 1970’s. To date, no art historians have seemed to notice or study Gauguin’s hidden faces theme.The documentary explores this discovery that finally convinced Teekamp to share publicly the series of connections he shared with the controversial French post-impressionist.

In Bremerton, Washington 2003, as Peter Teekamp and his co-Author Michelle Moshay were preparing the final pages of Teekamp’s amazing story of synchronicity, he stumbled upon and subsequently purchased an original charcoal drawing of a famous Gauguin painting. The charcoal drawing is unsigned and undated.
Though now, ten years later, the artist still remains a mystery, the material facts known about it make it a perfect fit. One of the most dramatic facts learned during the research of the charcoal drawing’s provenance is from the Art Institute of Chicago. It states that it seemed highly likely a drawing was done beforehand but was “believed to have not survived”.
The Wildenstein Institute in Paris is the authority on Gauguin and while they did not feel it was drawn by Gauguin himself, their determination was subject to change as, in their own words, information in the art world is “always evolving”. Teekamp and Moshay have approached producers to do a reality show based on forensic testing of the charcoal drawing to determine its age and authenticity.
Some of the connections Teekamp shares with Gauguin, both spent early years in Catholic boarding schools, both artists traveled the globe, both collected religious artifacts to use in their art, both hid faces (Teekamp found the faces Gauguin hid when no one else had studied them in nearly a century) and both artists began to paint seriously in the town of St. Cloud. Gauguin in St. Cloud France, Teekamp in St, Cloud Minnesota (Teekamp and Gauguin even look alike.)
