Can spiritual and traditional education be combined?
Chicago, Ill. (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- The lines between traditional education and spiritual education have been clearly drawn. Not everyone agrees that’s the way it should be.
Mother and experienced childcare professional Barbara Denise Hendricks is one such person. In her new book entitled "The Newbies: Bible Alphabets A-Z," Hendricks introduces the alphabet in both English and Spanish to young children while incorporating Bible scripture, providing parents and educators a way to add spiritual growth to everyday educational exercises.
“Education doesn’t have to be one dimensional,” Hendricks said. “I love teaching children and know it’s possible to teach them multiple things at once, even spiritual information.”
Hendricks has more than 24 years of childcare experience. Now, she wants to reach more people in an increasingly globally minded world. Her bilingual and nondenominational book is a step towards doing that.
"I want to reach children in all communities, religions, and races to show them education and morality don't have to be separated," Hendricks said. "The two can be woven together."
