Canadian Digital Art School - Centre for Arts and Technology Students to Work with Dream Party Productions on Fundraising Event in Support of KGH Children’s Care Fund
(PRWEB) February 20, 2015 -- Taking place on Saturday, February 28th will be a royal “Meet and Greet” with Dream Party Production’s most beloved characters; Snow Queen and Snow Princess. Dream Party Productions has teamed up with 5 students from Centre for Arts and Technology (CAT) to host a kid-friendly fundraiser in order to raise proceeds that will go toward Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) Foundation’s Children’s Care Fund. The fundraiser will be held from 10:30AM to 1:30PM at Jump2It: Indoor Playground located at 1891 Springfield Road. It will be open to the general public, but particularly for parents to bring their kids to take photos, get autographs, and meet with the Snow Queen, Snow Princess and Snow Man Mascot. In order to meet with the characters there must be a $5.00 minimum donation made, with all money raised going toward KGH Foundation’s Children's Care Fund.
This fundraising event was conceived by CAT student Shanelle Connell and Dream Party Productions owner Danielle Wycott. This charity event is supported by fellow CAT classmates Jenisa Carbert, Bethany Harbaugh, Jenna Woldenga and Curtis Sandier and has taken the form of an in-class assignment for a Professional Development class at CAT.
Those interested in participating in this fundraising event will be welcomed at the Jump2It:Indoor Playground building on Springfield, Saturday February 28th from 10:30am to 1:30pm and can make their $5.00 donations at that time and be photographed with the princesses. KGH Foundation’s Children’s Care Fund helps to “purchase diagnostic equipment, surgical instruments, related equipment and patient comforts for the treatment and care of pediatric and newborn patients.” [kghfoundation.com] These sorts of purchases help to make life easier on both medical practitioners as well as children affected by illnesses.
Centre for Arts and Technology delivers fully accredited certificate and diploma programs across a variety of arts and technology disciplines. The Kelowna campus features two contemporary recording studios and a film production studio, in addition to extensive digital video, photography, motion graphics, digital media, digital effects, fashion design, and animation labs.
