Canadian Junior Hockey League Adopts HockeyTech’s National Trade Centre and National Trade Wire to Streamline Inter-League Player Trades
Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA and Calgary, Alberta, CANADA (PRWEB) October 27, 2016 -- The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), a national organization of Canada’s top 10 Junior ‘A’ ice hockey leagues, today announced that it has adopted HockeyTech’s National Trade Centre and National Trade Wire.
Through the use of HockeyTech technology, the CJHL will simplify trades of players between its 10 leagues and 132 teams—replacing a fax-based workflow with an online system that can be accessed from any Internet-enabled device, including smartphones and tablets. The CJHL’s member leagues are the AJHL, BCHL, CCHL, LHJQ, MHL, MJHL, NOJHL, OJHL, SIJHL, and SJHL.
Previously, inter-league trading was a phone- and paper-intensive, fax-based system that required sending lengthy documents between general managers and league officials. All approved trades also needed further documentation to be manually sent to the CJHL headquarters for advanced administration.
HockeyTech’s Trade Centre and Trade Wire technology are already in use within several leagues. Now, for the first time, the CJHL will empower teams to automate the process of making trades with teams across multiple leagues nationally.
Member teams post potential players for trade, automatically tagging the player’s biographical information and stats, on the National Trade Wire, and National Trade Centre automates the process. Those teams that use HockeyTech’s RinkNet have further access to enhanced player information, such as scouting reports, to help make trade decisions.
Team general managers can propose, accept or reject trades with teams within their league or any of the nine other member leagues. The information is automatically passed along to league commissioners for approval and filed with the CJHL. This is all done electronically, through a simple, web-based interface that works on any connected device.
