Canadian Medical Marijuana Clinic Streamlines Process for Patients
(PRWEB) April 03, 2015 -- Patients looking for a more efficient and expedited process to enroll in Health Canada’s medical marijuana program will be pleased about the announcement between The Greenleaf Medical Clinic and Canada.MarijuanaDoctors.com that they are forming a partnership, allowing greater access to Canadian citizens needing access to medical marijuana treatment.
MarijuanaDoctors.com, a trusted gateway that provides a conduit for patients who need to connect to safe and reliable doctors and clinics who prescribe medical marijuana as a treatment in legal medical marijuana states and territories, recently launched their sub domain for Canada.
“We are happy to have The Greenleaf Clinic join our network to serve our high yield of Canadian patients in need of medicinal marijuana,” says Canada.MarijuanaDoctor.com’s Chief Operations Officer John Nicolazzo.
With the partnership between both Canada.MarijuanaDoctors.com and The Greenleaf Medical Clinic, Canadians patients will be able to schedule appointments through the Canada.MarijuanaDoctors .com website and have the benefit of a streamlined process to receive treatment at The Greenleaf Medical Clinic.
Since 2001, The Greenleaf Medical Clinic has been educating patients and physicians on Health Canada's Medical Marijuana landscape; The Greenleaf Medical Clinic was opened in 2011 to assess patients for their eligibility into Heath Canada's Medical Marijuana program. Patients located outside of British Columbia are seen by physicians using telemedicine as an appointment platform. This allows patients to be seen in the safety of their own home or other remote location. The physicians serve patients in British Columbia, Ontario, New Foundland, Labrador and Quebec.
Patients seen by Greenleaf are charged an annual subscription fee of $333.50, which includes an in-depth one-on-one educational session with the Clinic Director that explains the differences with the various cannabinoids, how to safely and effectively use the medication and how to maneuver through the legal framework and current supply options in Canada with a Licensed Producer. Greenleaf’s clinical staff are available Monday to Friday 8:00 to 4:00 PST to answer any questions and provide information as required.
In all other provinces, The Greenleaf Medical Clinic will work with the patients’ primary care provider or specialist to assess treatment for medical cannabis and provide a prescription to the referring doctor regarding strain selection, methods of use and will follow-up regarding stabilization. The patient is charged a non-insured medical services fee of $75.00. The Greenleaf Medical Clinic is happy to contact the patients’ doctor on the patients behalf.
The Greenleaf Medical Clinic’s Patient Care coordinators are physician trained on cannabinoids in clinical practice and continue to learn new information regarding medical conditions and the benefits of cannabis as a safe, alternate method to prescription drugs.
