Cancer Hope Network Launches Upgraded Website to Support Cancer Patients, Caregivers
Chester, NJ (PRWEB) July 06, 2015 -- Cancer Hope Network (CHN) has relaunched their website, CancerHopeNetwork.org. The redesigned site allows newly-diagnosed cancer patients, caregivers and medical professionals to chat with the CHN patient services team and connect with a Support Volunteer who has survived the same cancer.
“Receiving a cancer diagnosis is often the most traumatic experience of a person’s life,” said CHN Executive Director, Wanda Diak, a cancer survivor herself. “The opportunity to speak with someone who has fought the same fight you’re in, and won, is very meaningful. CHN matches patients with someone whose experience mirrors their own – including type and stage of cancer, treatment protocols or participation in a clinical trial. Cancer Hope Network's trained volunteers are then able to provide the best possible insight and support. We’re pleased that this website will help us better serve patients and their caregivers.”
Cancer Hope Network is a national non-profit that provides free one-on-one emotional support to adult cancer patients and their families. “I take great pride in giving back now that I’m healthy and am often a resource to friends and colleagues who are facing similar cancer battles,” relates Gayle, an ovarian cancer survivor and Cancer Hope Network Support Volunteer. Like Gayle, each of CHN’s 400 volunteers is at least one year post-treatment or successfully undergoing maintenance therapies. Cancer Hope Network serves cancer patients in the United States and Canada.
