Elk Township, NJ (PRWEB) December 14, 2016 -- To celebrate a season of giving, Canuso Homes, in partnership with The Canuso Foundation, is offering a special holiday promotion for prospective homebuyers. Make a donation to The Canuso Foundation to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey Summer Camp Program from now through January 31, 2017 and receive up to $10,000* in options and upgrades towards a new home at The Orchards at AURA, a new collection of single-family homes located within the master-planned AURA community in Elk Township, NJ.
The Canuso family’s reason for their choice of charity goes back decades. In 1974, John and Joan Canuso learned their nine-year-old daughter Babe Canuso was diagnosed with leukemia. Following Babe’s diagnosis, John Canuso, founder of Canuso Homes and father of six, saw that there was a need for a house where families of children with cancer could stay when they were away receiving treatment. Shortly after, through donations from McDonalds® franchises, the Children’s Oncology Services of Children’s Hospital, and various connections within the homebuilding industry, the first Ronald McDonald House was built on the University of Pennsylvania campus (known as “the House that Babe Built”).
“The Canuso Foundation continues its mission to alleviate the many burdens that pediatric cancer and disabilities thrusts upon families, by helping them with day-to-day necessities or long term goals and by restoring hope for the future,” said Mary Helen Ranieri, Executive Director for The Canuso Foundation. “Today, three generations of the Canuso Family bring honor to Babe as we continue to support pediatric cancer research, help families and children affected by cancer and enable young people to reach for their dreams.”
All donations received during the holiday season will be put specifically toward the summer camp at the Ronald McDonald House in Camden, according to Michael Canuso of Canuso Homes. “It has been both an honor and privilege to sponsor this summer camp in the past and we look forward to doing so again in 2017.” said Canuso. “As a homebuilder, we wanted to do our share in giving back. Anyone who makes a donation toward the Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey will receive up to $10,000* in options and upgrades at our newest single-family home community, The Orchards at AURA.”
The Orchards at AURA is located within the master-planned AURA community by Canuso Communities. Building on the award-winning Canuso tradition, all homes at The Orchards at AURA are designed and built with vision, outstanding quality and with your family in mind, according to Canuso.
