Cape May Retirement Village Adds Rehab Suites and Health Care Center
Wilmington, Ohio (PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- Cape May Retirement Village adds a rehab and health care center, offering guests comprehensive therapies and long term health care.
It was a $4.2 million expansion for the Wilmington, Ohio, continuing care retirement community owned and operated by OPRS Communities.
The Rehab Suites and Health Care Center at Cape May can accommodate 30 guests in spacious private suites and semi-private rooms that include in-room showers, flat-screen TVs, power-lift recliners and window views.
The comfortable common areas invite guests out of their suites, allowing them to heal, relax and meet new people. Chef-prepared, cooked-to-order meals are enjoyed in an appealing restaurant setting, if the guest chooses, of course.
"Our guests are in charge," said Cape May Retirement Village Executive Director & Administrator Jean Morgan. "We're their partner in wellness, and their stay will fit their lifestyles."
The center's dynamic therapy gym includes advanced equipment such as occupational therapy bathroom and kitchen areas where guests practice day-to-day tasks.
"Our expertly trained, attentive therapists and staff really are the heart of the addition. Guests will work with certified therapists on speech, mobility and other daily tasks," Morgan said.
Nurses and therapists evaluate each guest and create an individualized rehabilitation plan for the most comfortable, effective recovery possible.
"We're preparing our guest for a successful, confident return home after hospitalization for illness or surgery," Morgan said.
Before joining Cape May Retirement Village in July 2013, Morgan held the same position at Swan Creek Retirement Village, Cape May's sister campus in Toledo, for six years.
Under her leadership, Swan Creek's Health Care Center was ranked as one of the nation's best in "U.S. News & World Report's" Best Nursing Homes and received overall five-star ratings four years in a row.
"Our guests just want things back to normal. Our team and our advanced therapies will get them there," Morgan said.
