Cape Verdean Author Shines Global Spotlight on Cabo Verde
(PRWEB) October 12, 2016 -- Author and historian Marcel Gomes Balla has released his new book, THE IMPORTANCE OF CABO VERDE IN A GLOBAL CONTEXT, a work that provides significant information about the contribution by Cape Verdeans. Mr. Balla has spent much of his adult life conducting research and lecturing on the contributions made to the United States and the western hemisphere as a whole by the people of Cabo Verde, an island off the western coast of the continent of Africa.
For forty years, Mr. Balla has been investigating every aspect of Cape Verdeans’ contributions to history. Additionally, he is the only Cape Verdean American whom the descendants of the first Cape Verdean family invited to speak at an International Conference in Genoa, Italy. The conference commemorated the 550-year history of the discovery of Cabo Verde, 1460-2010.
His book, THE IMPORTANCE OF CABO VERDE IN A GLOBAL CONTEXT, details the history of Cabo Verde Islands, the role Cabo Verde played in establishing Western civilization, and the contributions Cape Verdeans made to world history.
Mr. Balla is intensely committed to continuing his research about Cape Verdean descendants and communicating the impact Cabo Verde and its people have made. The author sees it very important that this new information be told to adults, students, and the future generations of people of all backgrounds.
