Washington DC (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- On Tuesday, June 3rd, DC's newest premium event and entertainment company, Capital Connoisseurs, will present Mixology 101. This workshop will be led by mixology prodigy Chad Spangler, voted Best Bartender by Washington Post Express and Most Imaginative Bartender by GQ Magazine.
In this hands-on Capital Connoisseurs class, participants will learn the secrets of mixing classic cocktails, bartender insider tips and a brief history of mixology. Connoisseurs know handcrafted cocktails take time. Fresh squeezed juices, herb-infused spirits and specialty barware can transform an apartment kitchen into a boutique bar. It goes without saying that there will be no cotton candy martinis featured.
"Our customers are thirsty for knowledge of fine wines and spirits. They want to know the terminology, history, how to taste, smell and enjoy their favorite drinks," says Scott Stein, Founder of Capital Connoisseurs.
Mixology 101 is appropriate for cocktail enthusiasts from novices to connoisseurs. In addition to an appreciation for cocktail history, participants will leave with the ability to recreate these craft cocktails at home.
This event is limited to 25 people to ensure an intimate and hands-on environment. After the class, participants are invited to enjoy Stoney's classic fare and gourmet specialties (included) and mingle with Chad along with other area mixologists.
