Capstone On-Campus Management Goes “Casual for a Cause” in Support of United Cerebral Palsy
Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) demonstrated their support for United Cerebral Palsy on Friday, April 24, 2015 by wearing t-shirts commemorating UCP’s 25th Annual Casual Day. United Cerebral Palsy’s Casual Day is celebrated nationally by UCP affiliate chapters and raises millions of dollars each year for people with disabilities. UCP provides intervention services for children with cerebral palsy, life skills education and job opportunities for adults with CP, and offers physical and medical rehabilitation services.
COCM Payables Manager, Tamiko Thompson, proposed and coordinated employee participation in Casual Day after learning about the fundraiser. She discovered that COCM partner, Gone for Good, a document solutions company, provides employment and opportunities for individuals affected by cerebral palsy. Ms. Thompson said that she learned of the relationship of Gone for Good and UCP and thought Casual Day would be an “excellent opportunity to support a partner making such a positive impact in the lives of people with CP, as well as an opportunity to directly contribute support to those living with cerebral palsy.”
