CardNotPresent.com Adds Security Expert to Growing Team
Newburyport, Mass. (PRWEB) January 22, 2015 -- CardNotPresent.com continues to grow with the announcement today of another addition to its expanding team. Giles Witherspoon-Boyd has joined the CardNotPresent.com staff as vice president of Business Development. Witherspoon-Boyd has spent much of the last decade at compliance solutions provider Security Metrics managing strategic and enterprise accounts and advising clients on all aspects of network security with a focus on Level I and Level II PCI DSS compliance. He also is a certified Payment Card Industry Professional, a credential bestowed by the PCI Security Standards Council and has spent a 20-year career in technology sales and service.
After a year of high-profile network security breaches, Witherspoon-Boyd will be a vital part of CardNotPresent.com's ability to communicate and educate merchants and service providers—through the continued growth of our publication, the CNP Expo and other platforms—about the security, fraud and payment issues surrounding the acceptance of online and other types of CNP transactions.
"In a year that will see the implementation of PCI 3.0 and the EMV liability shift driving ever more fraud toward e-commerce and other CNP channels, our ability to reach the audience of merchants affected by this and the technology providers that serve them has become indispensable," said Steven Casco, CEO of CardNotPresent.com and the CNP Expo. "Giles' expertise in security and fraud matters and passion for educating merchants will resonate with readers and CNP Expo attendees, sponsors and exhibitors."
Witherspoon-Boyd's experience encompasses more than selling compliance solutions. A deep understanding of data security, the commitment needed to achieve that security and the ability to communicate it effectively has led to him conduct high-level briefings of corporate executives and legal teams. He expects this experience to contribute directly to the continued growth of CardNotPresent.com and the CNP Expo.
"The key to data security, fraud prevention and payments is continual education and communication," Witherspoon-Boyd said. "CardNotPresent.com and The CNP Expo are the right people with the right information to help merchants navigate what are some pretty choppy waters right now. I'm excited to be able to be one of their guides."
