Career Step Publishes New Infographic on Medical Coding Career Paths

The infographic begins with entry-level education and credential requirements. Professionals can enter this field with as little as a year of specialized training, which prepares them to earn the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or the Certified Coding Associate (CCA) credential from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). The infographic then details how professionals can build upon these qualifications with experience or additional education to advance their careers.
