CareWell Urgent Care Now Open in Cambridge
Cambridge, Mass (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- CareWell Urgent Care today announced the opening of its urgent care center in Cambridge, Mass. The center is open from 8:00am-8:00pm seven days a week and offers medical care from Board-certified doctors, without a referral or appointment.
Patients can visit CareWell centers for all urgent but non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries, including colds, flu, infections, fractures, cuts, rashes and allergic reactions. Centers offer select preventative services like flu shots, vaccinations and physical exams, and have on-site x-ray and lab capabilities. Additional services include sport and school physicals, DOT physicals, pre-employment exams, and drug testing.
“The newest Cambridge opening comes at a great time for our patients,” said CEO Shaun Ginter. “As spring arrives, there is a heightened demand for seasonal healthcare needs, such as allergy testing and kids’ camp physicals. CareWell centers allow patients to come at flexible hours, and you’ll typically be seen by a doctor within minutes of arriving.”
CareWell Urgent Care functions as an extension of a patient’s own primary care provider regardless of where the patient lives. With the patient’s permission, CareWell will forward x-rays, lab results and diagnostic notes to the patient’s own doctor within 24 hours of their visit.
