CarHistory.us.org Adds Classic Cars to Its Database
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2014 -- CarHistory.us.org is about to include information about classic used cars in their public records vehicle reports, the company announced yesterday.
“Since we started we've focused on gathering information and compiling reports on traditional used cars, because that is the largest part of the pre-owned vehicle market,” a CarHistory.us.org spokesman said. “However, we have gotten some inquiries about the classic car market. We did some research and found out that by altering our reports somewhat, we could provide consumers information about that market as well.”
CarHistory.us.org said their database needed to be updated to include the information about classic cars because people are looking for a different data set than the traditional market.
“Odometer readings are not nearly as important when looking at a restored '57 Chevy as when a buyer is thinking about buying a two-year-old Toyota,” he said. “A buyer wants to know if the car has been registered as a classic and what the overall value of the vehicle is. We've changed our reports to represent that.”
The new information will only include classic cars that were originally sold in the North American market, he said.
“Because cars from other countries don't use the VIN system, it is impossible for us to include them in our search service as it is now structured,” he said. “If that changes in the future, we will update our potential customers.”
