CarHistory.us.org Initiates Program to Crack Down On Credit Card Scams
Des Moines, IA (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 -- CarHistory.us.org has launched a program to stop credit card scam artists in their tracks, the company said yesterday.
“One of the problems of running a site online is that you can become the target of scam artists,” a CarHistory.us.org spokesman said. “Particularly if you are a smaller site that thieves test cards out on. We knew we had to do something about it.”

“They figure that if it will work for a dollar on our site, they can then use it to buy more expensive things elsewhere,” he said. “That's all a part of the scam. If it won't work for a dollar, they won't waste their time using it other places.”
CarHistory.us.org said that they commissioned a software program that can identify the patterns that signal the likelihood that a credit card is being used as part of a scam on their site. The software then blocks the charge.
“This way, honest people who are just trying to get information about a used car can use our service but scam artists will get blocked,” he said. “It's a win-win situation for everyone involved - as long as you are not trying to run a scam.”
