Carl’s Announces Home Improvement Sweepstakes Winners
Toms River, NJ (PRWEB) October 08, 2014 -- Carl’s Fencing, Decking & Home Improvements, a family-owned full-service home remodeler, has announced that Jackson residents John Way, along with wife Donna Way, have won their $5,000 grand prize sweepstakes. The sweepstakes, initiated in September, offered one past customer of Carl’s $5,000 worth of home improvement services.
Over 400 entries were received and the winners were announced at the end of Carl’s Customer Appreciation Day held at 1579 Route 9 on Saturday, October 4, 2014. According to the sweepstakes's terms and conditions, the winner must have been present to win. “We entered because we had things we needed done in our house,” said Mrs. Way. “We will probably use the money to replace some sliding doors and some windows.”
Prior to the drawing at 3:00 pm, past customers of Carl’s enjoyed a day of fun with free educational seminars, pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, and refreshments. Vendors in attendance included Owens Corning, Uptite Fasteners, Dexerdry, James Hardie, WOLF, FLW International, and Kensington HPP. Kensington, a replacement vinyl window supplier for Carl’s, donated four gift cards that were raffled off during the event. Personal appearances were made by Kevin Williams from WOBM Radio and Steve Trevelise from NJ 101.5, along with station vans and crews to provide music and entertainment throughout the day. Toms River Mayor, Thomas F. Kelaher, also attended to conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the re-branding and expansion of Carl’s into all areas of home improvement. Carl's, a recent Asbury Park Press 2014 Reader's Choice Best of the Best winner, had revealed a new logo, store-front LED sign, and fleet of vehicles to the crowd.
“Our goal with this sweepstakes, and the event as a whole, was to thank our customers for their continued business over the years,” explained owner Carl Delpizzo Jr. “Homeowners in the area have a lot of choices when it comes to choosing a contractor and the fact that they have put their trust in us is not something we take lightly. This was our opportunity to give back and the day couldn't have been better."
