Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund Creates Rossville Fire Fund
Staten Island, New York (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund, a Staten Island-based non-profit, has created a special fundraising campaign to assist the families who were devastated by a recent four-alarm fire in the Rossville section of Staten Island. The fire broke out on Monday, March 16th at approximately 4pm according to The Staten Island Advance and six families have reportedly been affected.
“We’re putting out a call to all Staten Islanders to band together and help these families rebuild their lives,” said Massimo DiDonna, President of The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund. “We are aiming to raise $10,000 which will be evenly distributed to the families in Rossville, and of course if more is raised than more will be disbursed.”
The non-profit has launched on online campaign at its website http://www.binifund.org where companies and individuals can make donations via credit card, and anyone interested in making a donation via phone should dial (718) 412-1851.
“My thoughts and prayers are with those families in my District,” said Minority Leader and Councilman Vincent Ignizio. “Now it’s time for us to do what we do best: Come together as a borough to help our neighbors in need by supporting the Bini Fund and its fundraising efforts.”
In addition to being President of The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund, Mr. DiDonna is also co-owner of Staten Island-based Partners In Sound Productions who’s offices are located in Rossville near where the tragedy took place.
“When Mas told us about the fundraiser, both Mike Gregorio and myself decided that Partners in Sound would help the Bini Fund campaign by donating the first $500,” said Anthony Gerardi, Co-Owner of Partners in Sound Productions. “We actually saw the event unfold from our office windows, and our hearts go out to the families."
