Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund to Host First Annual Bini Winter Bash
Staten Island, NY (PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund, a Staten Island-based non-profit, is kicking off 2015 with its First Annual Bini Winter Bash at Nicotra’s Ballroom at The Hilton Garden Inn on Saturday, January 31st. The event will feature experiential auction prizes, cocktail hour, live performance by artist Rob Bass, and an after party at Above Rooftop.
“We’ve created something that we hope will change the way people perceive charitable events,” said Massimo DiDonna, President of The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund. “We’re looking to shift the paradigm from a traditional gala people attend because they feel obligated, to an outstanding event open to the public that happens to be centered on philanthropy.”
The organization, which is also the driving force behind two of the Island’s largest events, Bikers for Bini at The Staten Island Mall and Back to The Beach in conjunction with Staten Island Borough President James Oddo, is aiming to provide a new experience for the traditional philanthropist circuit, while also engaging an audience that may not typically attend fundraisers.
“This event is going to special,” said Andy Gonchar of Shore to Shore Realty Partners, one of The Bini Winter Bash event sponsors. “We are proud to be a part of it, and we’re looking forward to helping The Bini Fund raise money to help the Staten Island community in times of need.”
Some of the experiential items that will be available in the silent auction will include the opportunity to be a fighter pilot for a day, a chance to drive high end luxury vehicles including a Bentley, Ferrari and Maserati, sporting event packages and more.
