Carlisle Debuts Soft Surface Line During Fall Into Fabrics 2017 At The San Francisco Design Center; Local Designers Wins $20K Designer Rug Challenge
Stoddard, NH (PRWEB) September 12, 2017 -- Carlisle will debut its recently launched soft surface line in its San Francisco showroom on September 14 during Fall Into Fabrics 2017 to be held at the San Francisco Design Center (SFDC). Celebrity designers Lonni Paul and Mark Brunetz will be on hand to present the new custom carpet and rug collections. The event will also put the spotlight on the local design community as part of Carlisle’s $20K Designer Rug Challenge.
Carlisle’s new soft line is a collaboration with Just Shorn and New Zealand-based Carrfields Primary Wool. Known for its luxury wide plank flooring, the company’s newly expanded portfolio now includes Carpets and Rugs created by artisans and celebrity interior designers including Mark Brunetz, Lonni Paul and Jennifer Bertrand. The hand-crafted custom rugs feature contemporary patterns inspired by each of the designer’s work with high-end clients throughout the U.S. and abroad.
A select group of top Bay Area designers were also invited to participate in Carlisle Studio’s Designer Rug Challenge. Their design entries will be on display at Carlisle’s VIP Designer Event on September 14 from Noon-3 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for the winner who will receive a $20,000 award package including 6’ x 9’ rug of his or her design, a full-page ad in CA Home + Design, inclusion in Carlisle’s new custom rug collection and a designer profile video that will be featured on Carlisle’s website and social media platforms.
In addition to the designer collections, Carlisle offers a handcrafted option that provides clients the ability to create their own original designs utilizing a first-of-its-kind, lighted pom display case. Selecting from over 100 colors of 100% hand-dyed New Zealand wool or creating a color of their own, each newly envisioned pattern will then be available in various shapes and sizes and can be further customized using any number of unique fibers and textures ranging from fine denier to thick felted yarn.
The September 14 VIP Designer Event is open to the trade and public and will be held at the Carlisle showroom located at the SFDC (Galleria Building #206). For further information, please contact Jeffrey Fountain in the San Francisco showroom at [email protected] or 415.862.6219.
