Carlson & Associates Insurance Agency and Nonprofit SOS/Meals on Wheels Initiate New Charity Campaign in California to Provide Meals for Homeless Seniors
San Leandro, CA (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- With a new community program in the San Leandro, CA area, Carlson & Associates Insurance Agency has teamed up with SOS/Meals on Wheels and announced a new charity campaign to raise funds to support local seniors by enhancing their quality of life through the Meals on Wheels system of care. California leads the nation in the percentage of older adults living in poverty. Once a senior ceases to be able to obtain a daily meal, their standard of living declines. Carlson & Associates is raising funds to help prevent this by providing these seniors with a daily, nutritious meal. Utilizing its own resources and seeking the help of its own network of customers and business partners, Carlson & Associates Insurance Agency marches on to ensure customers, friends, families and neighbors are always in good hands. The agency just recently launched the master charity program of which the current campaign is part of, electing every 60 days a new individual, organization or family in need to receive support.
“Meals on Wheels delivers 1,200 warm, nutritious meals every weekday to these seniors in need. We want to help them continue their tireless efforts while also recognizing this remarkable organization. We want to help our local seniors live more independently and remain in their own homes,” said Todd Carlson, the Agency’s principal.
