Carolina Farm Credit Employees and Board Donate over $6,100 to Local Charities
Statesville, NC (PRWEB) March 28, 2015 -- Carolina Farm Credit, its employees, and board members donated over $6,100 to local charities in 2014. Over $3,000 was collected by employees and board members who participated in a charity contribution throughout 2014 and over $3,000 was donated by Carolina Farm Credit to match the employee and director donations. Each of the Carolina Farm Credit 36 branch offices submitted a local charity choice and six charities were selected through a random drawing to divide the donations.

Levine Children’s Hospital – Lincolnton
Truett Baptist Children’s Home – Murphy
Rutherford Housing Partnership – Spindale
Fifth Street Ministries – Statesville
REMMSCO is an acronym for Reidsville, Eden, Madison, Mayodan, Stoneville and County. It is a private non-profit corporation organized in 1982 to rehabilitate those suffering from alcohol abuse. REMMSCO, Inc. currently serves clients that reside in Alamance, Caswell, Davie, Forsyth, Rockingham and Stokes counties.
CVAN (Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network) provides safety, shelter and support for battered women and their children in Cabarrus County, N.C. Since 1982 it has been the place and voice for battered women and children– building a world where every home is a safe home.
Truett Baptist Children’s Home (TBA CH) is a North Carolina state certified residential children’s group home with a capacity of six children ages five to 18. This ministry is a partnership between the Truett Baptist Association and the Baptist Children’s Homes of NC (BCH), with financial support provided by BCH, individuals, local churches and businesses in Clay, Cherokee and Graham counties of Western North Carolina.
Rutherford Housing Partnership(RHP) is a local nonprofit founded in 1995 to provide urgently needed repairs to the homes of qualified low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners in Rutherford County, N.C. RHP provides materials; volunteers provide labor.
Fifth Street Ministries offers a variety of services to the homeless, the impoverished, the abused and the working poor. Its mission states that they will “compassionately serve men, women, and children in need by providing clothing, food, access to healthcare and safe sanctuary, advocating for change and offering hope." From addressing the needs of the homeless to providing sanctuary to victims of family abuse and other types of violence, thousands of individuals have been assisted.
