Carolyn Oldenburg Appointed as GlobalSign General Counsel
Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- GlobalSign (http://www.globalsign.com), the enterprise SaaS Certificate Authority (CA), today announced that Ms. Carolyn Oldenburg, Esq. has joined the group as General Counsel. With more than two decades of experience, Carolyn returns to the Certificate Authority space after serving most recently as General Counsel for World Energy Solutions. Prior to that, Carolyn was Director of Legal Operations and Security with GeoTrust, the VC backed Certificate Authority acquired by VeriSign in 2006 for $125m.
Carolyn will bolster GlobalSign’s legal foundation and support GlobalSign’s delivery of the high performance, high availability Certificate Authority services that help enterprises reduce business risk of using the Internet for commerce and communication.

Carolyn brings a substantial level of industry experience to GlobalSign from within the online security space. As well as heading up GeoTrust’s legal and contracts team, Carolyn completed the acquisition of TC TrustCenter and led the collaboration with outside counsel to close GeoTrust’s sale to VeriSign. Prior to GeoTrust, Carolyn worked at Baltimore Technologies and GTE CyberTrust where she oversaw all contract matters, including numerous multi-million dollar customer and partner agreements.
Carolyn holds a BA Cum Laude in Political Science from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, a JD from Suffolk University Law School Boston and has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1992.
