Carrollwood Day School Hosts Students from Beijing, China
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- Carrollwood Day School prepared a welcome for the “Little Diplomat Exchange Program” to our school starting on January 8th, 2014. This month long program will welcome 11 young Chinese students, their parents and several teachers to our school from Beijing, China.
CDS is excited that these students will have the opportunity to experience Carrollwood Day School and in return that our students will learn about the experiences of school in China. The Chinese students will partake of all of the daily activities of our students. Their teachers will provide support in our classrooms as they are fluent in English and can assist in the translation from Chinese to the English language. CDS believes that as an International Baccalaureate school that it is important to understand and accept cultural differences. This experience will help develop a strong sense of what is required to be successful in our ever-changing international world.
The classes that have visiting students are Toddler, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade.
In addition, these classes Unit of Inquiry is about children around the world and having their new friends has sparked the celebration of the Chinese New Year at the end of January.
