Cary Bankruptcy Attorney, Dennis Jay Sargent Jr, Named American Legion Post 124 Judge Advocate
Cary, North Carolina (PRWEB) August 02, 2013 -- Dennis Sargent, Jr. has been named as the Judge Advocate for the American Legion Post 124 in Apex, N.C.
The Judge Advocate is an important part of the legion’s leadership team, serving as general counsel. As such, Mr. Sargent will offer legal advice to the Post Commander and Executive Committee in addition to working with the other members of the post on advancing the cause of the American Legion on a local level through the various programs the American Legion offers. Mr. Sargent was nominated and elected by the members of the post.
The American Legion is dedicated to helping veterans, their families and communities. Mr. Sargent participated in Legion activities while in high school, and officially joined in 1989.
“From community baseball to supporting our troops to educating the public about the American flag, the American Legion provides so much to every community,” said Mr. Sargent, an army veteran. “I am honored to use my skills and knowledge to help Post No. 124 continue its service to the community.”
This will be Mr. Sargent’s second one-year term as Judge Advocate.
“Mr. Sargent was asked to serve as our judge advocate because of his knowledge of both the civil law and the Legion Constitution.,” said Mike Sayers, commander with the American Legion Post 124. “His valuable knowledge and expertise complete our leadership team.”
