Casenet, LLC Announces Kevin Brown’s Retirement and Names Peter Masanotti Chief Executive Officer
Bedford, MA (PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- Casenet, LLC, a provider of innovative care management software solutions, today announced that long time CEO, Kevin Brown, is retiring and that Peter Masanotti has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, succeeding him.
Kevin Brown has been an iconic member of the Health Care Payer IT community for over 30 years. Brown was formerly president, CEO and chairman of the board of AMISYS Managed Care Systems, a provider of health insurance and managed care information systems. Later, Brown was president and CEO of Amisys Synertech Inc. ASI was acquired by DST Systems in November 2006 forming DST Health Solutions (DSTHS).

Peter brings to the CEO position 33 years of professional experience as an attorney focused on early stage technology ventures and as an executive in technology companies. Peter has held executive leadership positions in technology businesses in a variety of industry segments including telecommunications, cyber security, document management, healthcare information technology, and business process outsourcing.
In 2008, Peter became CEO of MedQuist Inc., a $400 Million in revenue healthcare technology company. MedQuist, renamed M*Modal, is the world’s largest clinical documentation and transcription service. Under Peter’s management, MedQuist increased market share, improved customer satisfaction levels, significantly enhanced their product line, and substantially increased profitability. In January 2011, Peter led a successful IPO taking MedQuist public.
Peter has also served as an active board member at Advanced Health Media for the last five years, which provides technology solutions to the pharmaceutical industry. Since 2011, Peter has served as executive chairman of SAMI Health, a patient care analytics company, and as a board member of Savant Protection, an application whitelisting security solution. Peter also served as a board member of Silver Hill Hospital for several years.
Peter holds a law degree from Temple University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
