Design
Created by award-winning engineers from IDEO and Muji, Casper’s mattress unites two sleep technologies: latex foam and memory foam. The proprietary construction contours to the body to provide 10-inches of support, while remaining soft, cool, and bouncy to the touch.
“We saw an opportunity to enhance the support and comfort of a premium memory foam bed, while removing the big complaints, like sleeping hot or feeling stuck,” said Jeff Chapin, co-founder and Head of Product.
Manufacturing and Sourcing
The Casper mattress is manufactured in the United States, with foams crafted in Georgia and Pennsylvania, and fabrics stitched in South Carolina and Illinois. Its signature cover contains materials from both Belgium and the United States.
Delivery
Casper uses a patented German compression machine to allow for compact shipping, and reduce delivery costs by more than 66%. The mattress, which can be shipped nationwide, arrives in a box that fits in the trunk of a standard taxi cab. All mattresses are shipped free, and in New York, the mattress may be delivered within hours via Uber, or even on a cargo bicycle from Zipments.
Sizes and Pricing
The Casper mattress is available in the six standard sizes, and include a 10-year full warranty: Twin: $500, Twin XL: $650, Full: $750, Queen: $850, King: $950, California King: $950. Mattresses may be easily returned within 40 days, and all returns will be donated to a local charity.
