CASTINGHUB Actor Thrives In Hollywood
Burbank, California (PRWEB) October 07, 2013 -- CASTINGHUB member and young actor Blayne Smith has been absolutely thriving in Hollywood. Where many young actors may struggle to find jobs, in the span of 3 months, Blayne Smith has been a very busy young man and flourishing in the entertainment business.
His jobs vary and are a testament to his range and growing ability as an actor and model. He stared in a commercial for deliberateLIFE, a "digital magazine focused on inspiring people to live well and do good by making intentional choices about how they spend their time and money, engage in their communities, and understand global issues. deliberateLIFE Magazine is published six times a year and is currently available through the iPad Newsstand" (deliberateLIFE website). This job showed his talent as a young actor and all the cuteness that is expected from a 5 year old boy, as did his modeling for an international print campaign for Sony. His mother, Rebecca Smith, described the audition process as a long one that lasted from 11am to 7pm with 1000 young children auditioning for the campaign and Blayne was one of few lucky ones that were chosen. The campaign had a Peter Pan theme so be sure to look out for him playing Captain Hook.
Blayne showed his comedic timing as he was able to star in a viral video with Funny or Die with the concept of "Kids doing adult things" where he plays a tired businessman who comes home. Dressed in a suit, Blayne looked every bit the business man in this short video. Funny or Die is known for having celebrities star in their videos. This one will star Blayne and have celebrities Scarlett Johansson and Nathan Fillian doing the voiceovers for the young actors.
His latest work also allowed him to also show his talent and acting abilities in a more serious role in the indie film "Reunited", which takes place in the 1940s, where his young character even has a death scene. The director praised Blayne saying that he had not seen an actor as young as Blayne be able to stay on mark and in character for as long as Blayne was. His focus allowed the director to shoot whole scenes making the whole experience smooth and a testament to this young man’s professionalism. The film will soon be making the rounds in the film festivals where Blayne will get even more exposure.
