Castlewood Treatment Center Plans 2nd Annual Golf Tournament Benefitting Project HEAL
ST. LOUIS, Missouri (PRWEB) September 09, 2015 -- Castlewood Treatment Center for Eating Disorders has joined forces with Project HEAL for its second annual golf tournament to raise money for treatment scholarships.
Organizers hope to surpass last year’s $60,000 total, which has helped clients who otherwise could not afford treatment get the help they need for life-saving therapy and care. The tournament will be held Monday, October 5, at Fox Run Golf Club, 1 Putt Lane, in Eureka, Missouri. Registration is open and can be completed online until Monday, September 28.
Golfers are in for fun and challenges on the world class Fox Run course, which was designed specifically as a potential site for top tournaments. It incorporates the natural landscape into a course all levels of players can enjoy. Check-in time will be 10:30 a.m. at which time participants can also begin practicing at the designated area.
Registration fees are $300 per player, or $1,200 per foursome. Fees include a boxed lunch, 18 holes of golf, a cart, refreshments, gifts, contests and a post-golf reception and dinner.
Additionally, sponsorship opportunities that range in price and perks are available. Funds raised for Project HEAL at the golf tournament will be applied to grants at several different levels ranging from $100 for single nutritional or therapy appointments to $30,000 for a month-long full residential treatment plan.

About Project HEAL
Project Heal is a non-profit organization that provides grants for individuals with eating disorders who cannot afford treatment. Their mission is to promote public awareness about eating disorders and to encourage healthy body image and self-esteem. The founders of Project HEAL, Liana Rosenman and Kristina Saffran, met while undergoing treatment for anorexia nervosa at just 15-years-old. The two girls helped each other to reach full recovery and decided to help others achieve it as well. They have made it their life goal to educate people about eating disorders and to help sufferers save their lives. One in every 10 Americans suffers from an eating disorder, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and compulsive overeating.
People who suffer from eating disorders experience numerous physical and emotional consequences. These include chemical imbalances in the body, osteoporosis, heart and blood complications, depression and isolation. Founders of the organization say that more than 90 percent of people who suffer from eating disorders do not or cannot get the help they need. Funds raised for Project HEAL at the golf tournament will be applied to grants at several different levels ranging from $100 for single nutritional or therapy appointments to $30,000 for a month-long full residential treatment plan.
