Cat Lover Tells All in Her New Memoir ‘Cats I Have Loved’
(PRWEB) January 12, 2016 -- Cat lovers will applaud this wonderful tribute to the feline companions that have enriched the adult life of author Sara Munson Deats. Each of her cats was totally different, providing her with entertainment and anxiety, laughter and headaches, celebration and heartache, all the while teaching her about love and the meaning of life.
"Cats I Have Loved" is her ode to her 10 unforgettable furry, purry friends. Each cat is allotted a chapter that captures the colorful and varied personalities of these furry companions, while also probing the life lessons they taught her. The book also describes Sara and her husband’s struggles to aid animal welfare organizations and prevent animal abuse in their community.
Other chapters in the book are devoted to the dogs and cats from the Animal Protection League of Tampa Bay, where the author served for several years as the “Adoption Lady.” She also reminiscences about the “feral cats and the amazing birds, bunnies, and dogs that have fluttered, hopped, and trotted in and out of my life as fleeting guests rather than permanent residents.”
Readers have given “Cats I Have Loved” 5 stars on Amazon, saying:
“This is a book full of love for all creatures and is a must for all who love cats.”
“The author's endearing and beautifully written narrative, blending her personal story with that of each beloved cat, is truly heartwarming, reminiscent of that classic pet story, ‘Marley and Me.’”
“The book is stupendously written, full of humorous and touching stories of feline and human love, passages of heartbreak and healing, and an overall sense of care and dedication to true, responsible pet ownership.”
“Dr. Deats writes in a wonderful, interesting style about her life with her husband and her cats.
