Catawba College Awards First Loans Under National Education’s SAGE Tuition Advantage Program
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- Catawba College has awarded its first SAGE Tuition Advantage loans for the Fall 2013 semester.
SAGE Tuition Advantage is an institutional loan program that can be used to increase enrollment, improve retention and reduce discount rates, thus increasing net tuition revenue. When students graduate and make their payments on time, 25% of the original principal balance is forgiven, resulting in a 0% APR financing plan.
This “hybrid” program is a cross between a tuition payment plan and a traditional loan. It is low cost for families, generates cash flow for schools, and is managed by a third party to reduce administrative burden and compliance risk. Colleges make no capital investment and pay no up front costs.
