CatchApp Launches Its Web Version Bringing the Popular Productivity App to the Desktop, “It’s Like TweetDeck for Business Apps”
Chemnitz, Germany (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- CatchApp, the best way for a manager to catch up with everything their teams are working on, is officially launching its web version today. Like the very popular smartphone app, the web version allows managers to track the business apps their employees use and follow updates from their team members in real-time.
“This was the most requested feature from our customers. People use our iPhone app to check updates on the go, but they want to have their feeds on a second screen at their desk as well,” said Martin Bohringer, CEO of CatchApp’s parent company Hojoki. “The web version allows users to keep live updates on their screen at all times. It’s like TweetDeck for business apps.”
The web version takes advantage of the bigger screen by displaying multiple lists next to each other; similar to TweetDeck. Lists provide a way to organize tracking for different projects. CatchApp sends push notifications for new updates on a list.
The web version works with current versions of all major browsers and is available in the Google Chrome Webstore. It also comes with 23 integrations and a freemium model - just like the iOS app.
CatchApp is a newsfeed for work that allows managers to get an overview when work is spread out across different apps and includes multiple people. CatchApp makes this very easy by automatically creating reports on recent team activity.
CatchApp focusses on productivity apps used by SMEs. It integrates with more than 20 apps for multiple use cases, such as file management (Dropbox, Google Drive, Box), task management (Trello, Pivotal Tracker), office (Google Calendar, Evernote Business, Desk), and development (Github, Bitbucket). There's even support for Twitter to monitor tweets from a certain account or a defined search term. To integrate other apps there is a universal RSS plug.
CatchApp's pricing is based on the number of updates you receive. Each month the first 100 updates are free, which is enough for most users, while a premium package is available for $4.99 a month (or $49.00 a year) that allows for unlimited updates. There is also a referral program that gives you free bonus updates each month. Premium users can reply directly into existing conversations from within CatchApp and have access to the premium integrations Evernote Business, Trello Organizations and Desk.
