Caterpillar, Hallmark, Lenovo, Owens Corning, Sydney Water, UnityPoint, University of Utah Healthcare Named Finalists for ANNY Excellence in Analytics Award
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) September 15, 2016 -- The International Institute for Analytics (IIA), the leading independent research and advisory firm focused exclusively on guiding its clients to leverage the power of analytics, named the finalists for the 2016 ANNY Award to recognize their dedication to using analytics to improve business results at the project or organizational level. The winner will be announced at IIA’s Analytics Symposium in Boston Sept. 26-27.
Organizations were invited to submit an application or were nominated by IIA’s Research and Advisory Network of analytics experts and practitioners because they demonstrated excellence in their use of advanced analytics to drive measurable business impact. All nominees and applicants were asked to complete an in-depth application and were evaluated in five key areas:
- Outcomes: Evidence of sustained, measurable success against planned targets and objectives
- Ambition: Evidence of innovative and unique quantitative analytical techniques being applied
- Scale: Level of coordinated internal resources to foster a meaningful, enterprisewide analytics program
- Skills: Evidence of a commitment to improving analytical skills of all user types across the enterprise
- Insights: Evidence of higher-quality insights and decision-making resulting in the analytical activity
A panel of judges led by IIA Vice President and Research Director Daniel Magestro closely reviewed each application. After the judges’ careful consideration and casting of their anonymous ballots, Caterpillar Inc.; Hallmark Cards Inc.; Lenovo; Owens Corning; Sydney Water Corp. together with Data61 and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation; UnityPoint Health; and University of Utah Healthcare were named the finalists for the 2016 ANNY.
“The seven ANNY finalists went above and beyond to develop advanced analytics capabilities that have created lasting benefits for their businesses,” said IIA CEO Jack Phillips. “We look forward to celebrating their success and innovation at the Analytics Symposium in Boston and announcing the winner at the Welcome Reception Sept. 26.”
