Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce Names Jessup Auto Plaza 2013 Business of the Year
Cathedral City, CA (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- Since 1938, Jessup Auto Plaza has been in business in the Coachella Valley as a family-owned and operated auto dealership. And recently, the Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce named the dealership 2013 Business of the Year.
"This is such an honor," said Andy Jessup Jr., General Manager. "The Coachella Valley community has been our company's home since the very start. It's the people, the community, that make any local business what it is. And we couldn't be prouder to be here in the Coachella Valley."
The dealership, now in its third generation as a family-owned business, was founded in 1938. Originally located at the La Plaza in Palm Springs (the premiere shopping destination of the time) and now part of the Cathedral City Auto Center, it has grown to offer new and pre-owned vehicles from Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC, as well as a full service and parts department.
The 2013 Business of the Year award comes just two years after the dealership was voted the #1 auto dealer by Palm Springs Life. Jessup Auto Plaza was also named Business of the Year in 2003.
"This award means more than any sales ranking could," said Dan Jessup, General Sales Manager. "It shows that it's not just about the services we provide, but how we provide those services. We've put customers first since the beginning, and we take seriously our role as a business that serves our own friends, family, and neighbors. That emphasis on the customer is what guides us, and the success follows from it as long as you have that right."
In addition to being named Business of the Year, Jessup Auto Plaza's Andy Jessup Sr. has been co-named Cathedral City Man of the Year for his role not only as President of Jessup Auto Plaza, but for his contributions as a longtime community and business leader. He shares the honor with Orie Mann, General Manager of Palm Springs Volvo and Subaru and past Cathedral City Chamber Chairman.
