Catherine Sutton Joins IHG Owners Association Staff
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 25, 2013 -- Eva Ferguson, IHG Owners Association President, announced that Catherine Sutton has joined the IHG Owners Association as Vice President. In this newly developed position, Catherine will provide operational leadership to the Association’s primary activities: owner advocacy and member engagement.
Sutton comes to the hotel owners’ association from the Blacksburg Chamber of Commerce, where she was Executive Director. In that role, she successfully returned the Chamber to a position of strength after it had suffered some significant financial losses.
“As a Certified Association Executive, Catherine brings a strong skill set with Association best practices,” noted Ferguson. “This will certainly be an asset as the Owners Association continues to move forward as a global professional organization.”
She is a native Georgian, born and raised on Tybee Island, and she is happy to be returning to her home state, where she can enjoy SEC football the way it should be celebrated. Beyond being an SEC fan, Catherine is an avid supporter of the American Lung Association, having served on its Board of Directors, as well as on the United Way Board of Directors.
Catherine has two children: Colleen, who resides in Bloomington, Indiana, and Drew, who lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
