CBCF Welcomes New Board Members
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) board of directors welcomed 10 new members last week – including a media mogul, an internationally known actor and activist, a syndicated television judge, members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) and business executives with significant expertise in health initiatives, supplier diversity and civic engagement.
Each were selected for their willingness to invest their time, energy and resources in helping the Foundation achieve its vision of eliminating disparities within the global black community.
“The new members bring a diverse and extensive range of professional experiences which will enhance our ability to develop leaders, inform policy and educate the public; and I look forward to their insight and expertise,” said A. Shuanise Washington, president and chief executive officer for CBCF. “With the addition of these new members, the Foundation is greatly poised to position CBCF as a national thought leader on issues impacting the African-American community,” she said.
