CBT Nuggets Announces Chef Training Course
Eugene, Oregon (PRWEB) October 27, 2014 -- CBT Nuggets announces the release of a new video training course, "Chef Fundamentals."
In this 16-video course, CBT Nuggets trainer Shawn Powers explains the installation and usage of the Chef configuration management system.
"Chef allows a small team to accomplish an enormous amount of infrastructure management with minimal effort," Powers explained. "I can simplify the way you perform infrastructure automation and configuration management tasks."
This intermediate-level course contains five hours of instruction. The training is aimed at IT pros, from system administrators to developers, who are looking for ways to streamline server configuration and management. Topics covered include Chef methodology, recipes and roles, and community tools.
"Learning Chef forces you into a DevOps mindset, which will make you a better IT professional, whether you use Chef or not," Powers said. "Also, learning to build up and tear down entire environments in minutes is invaluable, especially if you are in a situation that requires temporary test platforms."
This training is associated with the Linux Essentials Professional Development certification.
"Chef Fundamentals" is available as part of a CBT Nuggets subscription. Subscriptions are available for individuals or teams, and can be paid monthly, semi-annually, or yearly.
